On August 16, 1996 alt-rock band Garbage appeared on the nationally syndicated radio show Modern Rock Live hosted by future VH-1 general manager Tom Calderone. Garbage performed several songs from their self-titled debut studio album ("Queer," “Stupid Girl,” “Only Happy When It Rains,” and “Milk”). Shirley Manson, Duke Erikson, Steve Marker, and Butch Vig were also interviewed by the host Tom Calderone.
